Representatives from the Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) attended the orientation “Navigating the Legislative Process: EC Franchise Applications in the 20th Congress,” organized by the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, Inc. (PHILRECA) on September 22, 2025, at Sequoia Hotel, Quezon City.
The activity aimed to guide electric cooperatives in preparing their franchise applications before the House Committee on Legislative Franchises. PALECO’s participation reaffirms its commitment to its member-consumer-owners (MCOs) by ensuring legislative preparedness, strengthening service reliability, and supporting the continued advancement of rural electrification across its franchise area in Palawan.
The orientation also brought together representatives from various electric cooperatives nationwide, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing in addressing the challenges and opportunities of the sector.
