In celebration of the National Cooperative Month and National Mental Health Awareness Month, the Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) joined the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association (PHILRECA) in holding a series of fun and meaningful activities for both its member-consumer-owners (MCOs) and employees.

 

The activities included the following:

 

A nationwide simultaneous Zumba session participated in by PALECO employees and MCOs. The activity aimed to energize participants, promote physical wellness, and symbolize the collective power of cooperatives moving together. Held on October 4 at the FPDL Gymnasium, Power Fit kicked off the celebration of both National Cooperative Month and National Mental Health Awareness Month.

 

A virtual nationwide gathering designed to allow employees to pause, relax, and recharge amidst a busy month. The activity supported mental wellness and camaraderie through light sessions, discussions, and shared experiences. PALECO employees participated in the event held on October 10.

 

Aside from offering free haircuts, PALECO also distributed rice packs to MCOs as a gesture of appreciation for their continued support for cooperativism and the Cooperative. Conducted in all PALECO offices on October 23, the event also featured a kWh meter exhibit, ICT Innovation Booth, games, videoke challenge, and the distribution of Membership and Share Certificates.

 

Designed to foster creativity, relaxation, and self-expression in support of mental health, this activity encouraged employees to unleash their artistic side. PALECO employees were grouped into teams and showcased their creativity through live performances of TikTok dance trends on October 24.

 

The PALECO management extends its sincerest appreciation to everyone who contributed to and participated in this month-long celebration.
