Paleco, Ready for the Upcoming Midterm Elections

The management and staff of Palawan Electric Cooperative (Paleco) assure its member-consumer-owners (MCOs) of the Cooperative’s preparedness for the upcoming midterm elections on Monday, May 12.

“We know how important this day is for every Filipino. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to keep the lights on and help ensure honest and orderly elections,” said Engr. Rez L. Contrivida, Paleco General Manager.

Lineworkers have conducted thorough inspections of distribution lines, including those in polling and canvassing centers across Paleco’s franchise area. Line clearing of heavily vegetated areas were prioritized to avoid power outages on election day.

In addition, standby teams of lineworkers will be strategically positioned near polling and canvassing sites to promptly respond and restore power in case of any unexpected service interruptions.

Paleco is also coordinating closely with key stakeholders, including its independent power providers (Delta P, DMCI and PPGI), the National Power Corporation (NPC), the National Transmission Corporation (TransCo), the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), local government units, and other relevant agencies to ensure the delivery of stable and reliable electricity during this critical time.

We call on everyone’s cooperation and understanding as we work together to help ensure a smooth and peaceful electoral process.

Paleco will continue to monitor power situation in all service areas before, during, and after election day.
