PALECO IN ACTION:
The management of the PALECO has organized a special operations Task Force deployed to the municipalities of Southern Palawan to carry out activities aimed at assessing and reducing distribution system loss and improving collection efficiency.
The Task Force is composed of employees from the Technical Services Department (TSD) and Internal Audit Department (IAD) from the Main Office, with joint participation of personnel from the Area South Operations Department (ASOD).
The month-long operations, which began on October 1, include the massive replacement of defective kWh meters, anti-pilferage operations, delivery of notices of disconnection, and actual disconnection of delinquent consumers.
To further enhance service delivery to its member-consumer-owners, the Task Force is also tasked to assess the installation of the Aborlan Automatic Circuit Recloser (ACR) for the load transfer from the Narra–Barrio Feeder.
Since 2022, PALECO has consistently received the Single Digit System Loss Award from the National Electrification Administration (NEA) — a recognition of its continued efforts to improve operational efficiency and reduce system losses.
