While the country was celebrating Independence Day last June 12, Paleco personnel chose to commemorate the occasion in their own way—by stepping outside and giving back to the very environment that sustains us.

Over 1,500 mangrove propagules were planted along the coastal waters of Barangay Minara, Roxas as part of our environmental stewardship efforts. This initiative is our way of restoring what has been lost, especially trees that had to be cleared in line with our mission to provide safe, reliable, and uninterrupted power to our communities.

 

Mangroves are life. They protect our shorelines, support marine biodiversity, and act as natural barriers against storms and erosion. By planting these, we’re not just reforesting—we’re securing the future.

 

This act of service proves that even on holidays, our commitment to community and sustainability never rests.
