PALECO IN ACTION
The Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO), through its Member Services Division under the Institutional Services Department, successfully conducted a Basic Electrical Troubleshooting Seminar on December 12 at the FPDL Gymnasium, PALECO Compound, Brgy. Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City.
The seminar was facilitated by Engr. Angelica S. Abela, Engr. Mark Andrew S. Cayetano, and Engr. John Robin S. Magnaye of the said Division, under the supervision of Mr. Garry U. Vasquez, RME, Chief of the Member Services Division. It focused on basic electrical troubleshooting practices, with emphasis on safety precautions, proper bulb replacement, resetting of circuit breakers, fuse replacement, and other essential household electrical concerns.
As part of the practicum, participants were also taught how to make their own extension cords, which they were able to take home as souvenirs.
Also present during the activity was Mrs. Susan M. Zambales, Secretary of the Cooperative’s Committee on Gender and Development.
The activity forms part of PALECO’s approved 2025 Social Development Plan and underscores the Cooperative’s continued commitment to strengthening the capabilities of its member-consumer-owners (MCOs) through capacity-building initiatives and sustainable development programs.
