PALECO IN ACTION
The Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO), through its Member Services Division under the Institutional Services Department and in partnership with the Area North Operations Department, successfully conducted another Basic Electrical Troubleshooting Seminar yesterday, November 27, at Barangay III, Roxas, Palawan.
A total of 25 residents from the barangay participated in the activity.
Before proceeding to the core lecture on basic electrical troubleshooting, the participants were first given an orientation about PALECO, which included its role in rural electrification, the power family, common causes of power outages, the breakdown of power rates, and an overview of Republic Act 11361, or the Anti-Obstruction of Power Lines Act.
During the hands-on activity, attendees were taught how to assemble their own extension cords, giving them the opportunity to apply the lessons discussed. Incentives were also given to those who actively participated and correctly responded to the facilitators’ questions.
This activity forms part of PALECO’s approved Social Development Plan for 2025, underscoring the Cooperative’s continued commitment to strengthening the knowledge and skills of its member-consumer-owners (MCOs) through ongoing education and capacity-building programs.
