Palawan Electric Cooperative

NOTICE TO ALL CONSUMERS

Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) reminds all consumers to take the necessary steps to prevent the accumulation of unpaid electricity bills.

While the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has directed all distribution utilities nationwide to temporarily suspend service disconnections for consumers with unpaid electricity bills covering consumption from May 2026 to October 2026, the directive does not provide for financial assistance, debt condonation, or the waiver of payment obligations.

Accordingly, all electricity consumed during this period remains payable. Although service disconnections are temporarily suspended, all outstanding balances will continue to accrue and may result in a substantial financial obligation by November 2026 if left unpaid.

PALECO will likewise resume its disconnection activities in November in accordance with applicable rules and regulations to ensure the timely collection of receivables and the Cooperative’s ability to meet its financial obligations to power suppliers, thereby safeguarding the continuous and reliable delivery of electric service to its consumers.

To help manage your account and avoid the accumulation of unpaid balances, PALECO encourages you to:

1. Practice prudent energy consumption. Use electricity efficiently to help minimize monthly consumption and billing.
2. Continue paying your monthly electricity bill whenever financially feasible. Regular and timely payments help prevent the accumulation of outstanding balances and applicable surcharges. Consumers who settle their bills in full and on or before the due date may also qualify for the Magbayad nang Maaga at Manalo Raffle Promo. Payments may be made at any PALECO office or through its payment partners.
3. Make partial payments if full payment is not immediately possible. Any amount paid toward your account during the no-disconnection period will reduce your outstanding balance and help lessen the financial impact of accumulated bills once regular disconnection activities resume. Please note that partial payments are accepted only at PALECO offices.

PALECO encourages all consumers to remain current with their electricity payments whenever possible. Regular payments, whether in full or in part, help maintain your account in good standing, reduce the risk of accumulated obligations, and support the Cooperative’s continued delivery of safe, reliable, and sustainable electric service to all.
