1. Filipino citizen, 21 to 70 years old on the date of election;

 

2. Actual resident and member-consumer of the district for the past two (2) years;

 

3. Bachelor’s degree holder;

 

4. Has attended at least two (2) Annual General Assembly Meeting for the last five (5) years;

 

5. Good moral character as certified by the barangay and by the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine National Police or the leader of his/her affiliated religious sect;

 

6. Member of good standing

a. Has no unsettled or outstanding obligation to PALECO whether personal or through commercial or industrial connections of which he/she is the owner or co-owner three (3) months prior to the time of filing of certificate of candidacy;

b. Has not been apprehended of electric pilferage;

 

7. Has not been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude, or terminated from public office or government/private employment for just cause;

 

8. Has not been employed by or has financial interest in a competing enterprise or business selling electric energy, electrical hardware or transactions which in anyway affect the management and operation of PALECO;

 

9. Such person or his or her spouse was not a candidate in the recent local or national election nor hold an elective/appointive position with Salary Grade of 16 and above; and

 

10. Such person is not related within the fourth civil degree of consanguinity or affinity to any member of PALECO Board of Directors, Department Manager, Acting General Manager or Project Supervisor.
