Affected areas: Puerto Princesa City, Municipalities of Aborlan, Narra,
Brooke’s Point, Sofronio Española, Bataraza, Roxas, Taytay and Dumaran
(mainland)
Initial assessment:
The Total System Blackout (TSB) was caused by the cascaded tripping of
power plants upon closing of 52-1ML4.
UPDATE: POWER HAS BEEN RESTORED IN ALL AFFECTED AREAS.
Paleco’s General Manager, Engr. Rez L. Contrivida, personally monitored the
power restoration.
