This one hour session happens in all PALECO offices weekly wherein requirements for electric service and frequently-asked questions are also discussed to ensure they are equipped with the right information through online platform and face to face. In the last year, the cooperative has published 20,000 copies of Ig Masanag, our very own publication, and 5,000 copies of PALECO brochure.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Electric cooperatives are mandated to organize, educate, and ensure the involvement of member-customer-owners (MCOs) in the cooperative. As of 2022, PALECO was able to organize at total of 101 Barangay Member-Customer-Owners Organizations (BMCOOs) and has federated four (4) districts. For the 1st Quarter of 2023, 20 BMCOOs were established with one (1) district federated. This platform serves as an avenue for updates, important announcements and source of news of MCOs who are not digitally-inclined. The objective of this initiative is to open a discussion and exchange of ideas, improve status quo, assess performance and come up with resolution to better the service being provided. The project intends to provide basic electricity services to poor households with no access to electricity. While 565 households from Barangays Marufinas and New Panggangan of Puerto Princesa, Barangays Caramay and Magara, Roxas, Barangay Caruray, San Vicente, Barangays Amas, Saraza, Salogon, Samarinana, Mainit, Imulnod, Barong-Barong and Maasin, Brooke&#8217;s Point were given access to electricity through Portable PV Solar Home System through the Total Electrification Program. Apurawan, Aborlan &#8211; an off-the-grid farming community was the beneficiary of the DREAMS project &#8211; through a partnership between the Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) and the Municipal Government of Aborlan. To date, the community has access to a 24\/7 renewable source of electricity.
